BayCreek is pleased to offer our popular summer day-camp for kids ages 7 to 13. The Kids Paddlesports Kamp is four fun-filled half days of activity emphasizing the development of canoeing and kayaking skills with a focus on water safety and respect for the environment.
The camp utilizes kayaks especially designed for children to assure proper fit and ease of use. All equipment, including personal floatation devices (lifevests), boats, and paddles, is provided.

Day 1 features an introduction to canoeing, including water safety, boat entry, bow paddling strokes and stern paddling strokes. Games are utilized to practice new skills.

Day 2 continues with canoeing, including a paddle around the beautiful wetlands of Irondequoit Creek observing nature and practice of rescue skills.

Day 3 switches to kayaking, with new topics of water safety, practice of entry, exit and wet exit and basic boat control skills. Again, games are used to practice the new skills. Camp shirts are tie-dyed.

Day 4 continues with kayaking with a mini-trip practice, games and rescue skills.

The camp operates Mondays through Thursdays, with Fridays reserved as a rain date. The weeks are divided into 2 age groups. The half-day sessions are broken in the hours of 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm. The camp fee is $175, with $75 deposit due on signup. Please call BayCreek at (585)288-2830 for a reservation as soon as possible. We will usually have space, but some weeks fill up early.

Please print out the Registration Form and the Waiver and then see "What to Bring". Have the child bring the completed and signed forms on the first day of the camp. We look forward to greeting your child or children and welcoming them to our camp.
