Kayak Bracing & Boat Control – 2½ hours (20% discount with Boat Buyer's Benefits)

If you’ve been practicing your strokes from the Basics Class and they’ve gotten pretty solid, then you are definitely ready for the next big leap in fun and performance. This class takes the training wheels off and away you go!

Learning to prevent capsize (by bracing) is so important because not only do you stay drier, but you gain the confidence to put your boat on edge (heel it) thereby opening up a whole new world of maneuverability and, dare we say, off-the-chart coolness. Yeah, it’s definitely cool to turn your boat a full 90 degrees with barely any effort at all; heck, you might even tip your hat while doing so. We’re also going to teach you low braces, sliding braces, supported sweeps and if you’re good, a hanging draw to side-slip right up to the dock. Another cool move. You’ll be killing it.
