P&Hs own Corelite X material combines a foam core with a tough outer layer to save weight and increase the stiffness of the hull creating lightweight, durable kayak that offers you the very best in plastic sea kayak construction. The Corelite X range is ideal for new comers to sea kayaking or those looking to take their kayak into rock gardens or surf.
P&H Performance Diolen
The most widely requested option balances weight, stiffness and durability. It offers superb impact resistance and can be easily repaired if damaged. The deck is also glass fibre with added reinforcement around the cockpit (for deep water rescues) and footrest mountings. It offers superb resistance to impact, abrasion, puncture and tearing. Our toughest, stiffest and most durable construction suitable for the most challenging expeditions or hardest working coaches.
P&H Lightweight Kevlar - Carbon
The hull of this construction is laid up by hand and then vacuum bagged, before being infused with a measured amount of vinylester resin. The deck is laid up by hand with vinylester resin brushed into the weave.
Lightweight construction models offer the optimal balance of weight and durability; perfect for coastal touring, general use, and even a touch of rock hopping.
P&H Custom Split
The Custom Split lay-up is custom made for BayCreek. We have opted to customize this lay-up to give our customer a great boat. The hull is the same stiff durable hull found in the performance Diolen lay-up. While weight is cut slightly by using the Kevlar-Carbon / Diolen deck found in the LW Kevlar Carbon option. The end result is a boat with an easily repairable hull and a lightweight deck and an overall wight savings of appox. 3 lbs.
