Canoeing or Kayaking Merit Badge Overnighter - 24 hours

We'll spend a morning learning to paddle and pack our canoes or kayaks and then we'll take an instructional tour of Irondequoit Bay before setting up camp on a quiet shore. The participants will be taught all of the requirements for their chosen merit badge while also learning about backcountry skills and leave-no-trace etiquette.
Logistics:
  • Maximum group of eight scouts, minimum of six scouts
  • Required two scout leaders
  • The program starts at 10am on a chosen day and ends at approx. 9:30am on the following day.
  • All camping & paddling equipment is provided by BayCreek
  • Two BayCreek instructors (at least one of which is a merit badge councilor)
  • Participants are responsible for their own clothing & personal items
  • No experience required!
